We absolutely loved the variety of the hikes we did in Madeira.  You are absolutely spoilt for choice.  The scenery is stunning no matter which walk you choose.  Some of the most popular walks are very crowded (I wasn't fully prepared for this!) but if you veer off the beaten track a little its quite easy to have a hike more or less to yourself.  Find out more about the hikes we did during our three week stay on this magical island:
