Cabo Girao to Camara de Lobos

Distance: 4km
Duration: 1 hour 20 mins
Difficulty: Easy - Moderate (steep decline is hard going on the legs)
Desirability: Fantastic coastal views and you can see your destination for most of the route. Its a very steep decline though, often on concrete so not everyone's cup of tea.
Description: We joined this on to our Levada Do Norte walk, using a Komoot route to help a little with the navigation. It's a bit of a twisty-turny route through some small back streets but there is a lovely open section as you come down the hillside by the gushing levada. It's not that well sign-posted so I needed to refer to Komoot a fair bit to keep us right.
What we wore
Hiking boots, shorts, technical t-shirts, sun cream. We were exposed to the sun for most of this walk.
What we ate
Fuelled by coffee and cake at Cabo Girao we didn't eat anything on route. Instead we had some lovely seafood when we reached the harbour. Spoilt for choice restaurant-wise, we opted for Taberna Dos Lobos.
How we felt
You get a real sense of achievement on this walk - looking back to see where you've come from and not quite believing it. We were hot and tired by the end and our legs were crying out for a rest.
